We celebrated my son's 3rd birthday yesterday, and although he watched me make this quilt through nearly the entire process, he was still thrilled when he unwrapped it last night. While this is the first time I've ever made a quilt, I've been exposed to the art by my aunt since I was young. A handmade quilt from her is a gift bestowed upon all her nieces and nephews for milestone events such as graduations, weddings and new babies. My son has been gifted two already. I've always admired her talent, but never felt I had what it took to make one myself. This was such an enjoyable experience, I can't wait to get started on another!
